| American Farmers & Ranchers is proud to have earned a Financial Stability Rating of A from Demotech, Inc. The Financial Stability Rating is an indicator of an |
| insurance company’s strength. An A rating means AFR has “Exceptional ability to maintain liquidity of invested assets, quality reinsurance, acceptable financial leverage and realistic pricing while simultaneously establishing loss and loss adjustment expense reserves at reasonable levels.” |
|
Demotech awards this rating after performing a thorough review of a company’s financial statements. This rating is independent of the size of a company due to Demotech’s belief that a small, well-run insurer may outperform a larger insurance company.
Insurance Products
American Farmers & Ranchers offers several ways for you to protect your property in case of loss.
Farm & Ranch
Do you have coverage for your owner-occupied farm, including your house, livestock, farm machinery, barns and more? Ask about our farm package policy which covers all of these items, plus provides liability protection. You may choose to schedule your machinery individually, or you may choose "blanket coverage," which does not require listing each item separately. Ask your American Farmers & Ranchers agent which is best for you!
Farm Property
Our Farm Property Policies are designed to insure farm dwellings occupied by owners or tenants. They give basic property coverage on the structure and can also be used to insure farm buildings and machinery. Liability coverage for these properties may be an extension of other owner occupied property policies or a farm liability policy may be purchased to cover both your property and liability risk. We can also insure tenant occupied dwellings in non-rural areas. Your American Farmers & Ranchers agent can help you decide which option is right for you.
Homeowners
Could you replace your house and all of your personal belongings if they were completely destroyed by a tornado or fire? If you own a house or condominium, our homeowners insurance package will protect your property and liability exposures. Choose from "basic," "broad," and "special" forms to provide the amount of coverage you need at competitive rates.
If you rent a house, apartment or condominium chose our "broad" farm renters insurance to protect your property and liability exposures.
We want you to feel confident that you are adequately insured. Your local American Farmers & Ranchers agent can help you evaluate your property to make sure you have enough insurance.
Dwelling
Our dwelling policies may be used to insure dwellings that are rented to others or for minimal protection on an owner-occupied house or on owner occupied seasonal house. You may also choose to add other structures, personal property (contents), or liability coverage to make this an insurance protection package. Choose from "basic" or "broad" coverage forms, and ask your local American Farmers & Ranchers agent to help you determine an adequate amount of coverage to meet your particular needs.
Insurance Tips
If you lost everything in a disaster, could you make a list of your belongings for the insurance adjuster? Well, why not do it now? Take pictures or a video of every room in your house, including the closets. Make a list of everything you own with the cost new and approximate purchase date and source. Keep the photos/video and list in a safe place away from the premises so you can get to it if your house is destroyed.
Hailstorms are a way of life in Oklahoma and can happen anytime of the year. A hailstorm can cause major damage to your roof, but there are ways to minimize this damage by installing Impact Resistant roofing when installing a new or replacement roof. American Farmers & Ranchers offers information on such roofing material to inform you of this option to help protect your home. This brochure can be downloaded here or a copy can be obtained from your AFR agent.
