He has been an active member of Oklahoma Farmers Union, serving on the AFR/OFU State Policy Committee for three years, with two of those years as chairman. He has also served on the National Farmers Union Policy Committee and lobbied in Washington, D.C., for the 2008 Farm Bill.
After graduating from Oklahoma State University, Humble was a vocational agriculture instructor for several years. He then worked as an agriculture loan officer and a crop insurance agent before becoming an agent for Oklahoma Farmers Union.
Some of Humble's most memorable times were those involving Oklahoma Farmers Union activities. His Farmers Union background began when he attended the OFU summer camps at a young age. Humble credits James McManus, his neighbor and Farmers Union agent, for encouraging him to attend those camps. At that time, George Stone was OFU President and Emil Kastl was OFU State Secretary. During his involvement as a youth, Humble also competed in OFU speech contests at Pop's Café in Clinton.
Since that time, Humble has remained an active supporter of 4-H and FFA, and has received the Honorary State FFA Degree. He also served on the Comanche County Fairgrounds Trust Authority for 22 years.Humble has been married to his wife, Sherry, for 44 years. They have two older daughters, Chelsea and Erica. The most recent additions to the Humble family are 15-year-old triplets—Haylie, Colton, and Chayton—whose adoption will be complete in February 2013.
